ON POSSIBLE COMELEC OFFENSES OF OVERSEAS VOTERS IN RELATION TO THE ONGOING 2022 NATIONAL ELECTIONS OVERSEAS

The Embassy reminds Overseas Voters that the following are prohibited acts under Section 261 of the Omnibus Election Code:

1. Taking pictures of the official ballots;
2. Marking and/or making erasures in the ballot face;
3. Tampering or destroying the official ballots; and
4. Distribution of fake ballots or pre-shaded ballots.

Violators will be prosecuted for any of the election offenses enumerated above.
